University Student film, “Pendulum” nominated for Best Local T&T Feature Film

Port of Spain– A University of the West Indies (UWI) student, Mr. Michael Rochford is set to make his directorial debut at the 2015 Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (TTFF) for his film Pendulum on Thursday 17th September, 2015 at Movie Towne, Port of Spain commencing 6:30 p.m. Pendulum is Rochford’s first movie to be nominated by the TTFF for the Best Trinidad and Tobago Feature Film-Fiction category.

The 72 minute action thriller promises its audiences a dynamic experience filled with a vibrant and talented local cast.  The cadre of actors includes: Stephen Hadeed Jr., Jovon (Tariq) Browne, Scott Evans, Francés De Lancey and Anoka Baptiste and other supporting cast members.

The film explores the life of a former soldier, Ryan (Jovon Tariq Browne) who suffers with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), while he investigates the “murder” of Luther (Stephen Hadeed Jr.), Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a major software company.  Due to Ryan’s PTSD, he must decipher whether he is being framed or is succumbing to the delusions of his illness.

About Michael Rochford
Michael Rochford has a Diploma in Animation from the University of Trinidad and Tobago. He is currently completing his BA in Film at the University of the West Indies. Pendulum is his first feature film.
